Yes, I have officially been accepted to a law school! I am absolutely ecstatic. I was afraid for a while there that no one was going to take me! Luckily though, Mississippi College of Law has been the first to accept me of hopefully 5. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not naive enough to think that I will be getting accepted to ALL of the schools I applied to. There are hundreds of thousands of people that apply to law school every year, so it would be ridiculous if I got in to every school (it would be great, but not likely). I am just absolutely thankful and feel so blessed that I am going to be an attorney one day.
I met with someone in the admissions office at LSU today to see where my application is at. Lo and behold, my application is with the admissions committee, and they MIGHT render a decision tomorrow. I also called Ole Miss last week, and guess what? My application is going to the admissions committee on Wednesday, and they'll make a decision then. Can you say "nervous wreck"? If so, then that is exactly what I am at this moment in time. I have had little panic attacks and nervous breakdowns ever since I sent off my applications. They have subsided a little, and I mean VERY little, since I have been accepted somewhere. Without a doubt, the most stressful time period EVER. Oh well, I suppose I better get used to it. Hopefully I will find out something good, since my birthday is this Saturday and Spring Break is next week, but if not, hopefully I'll get some good things for my birthday to make up for the disappointment, and there's always birthday cake!
The past few weeks have been a LOT of fun! We've had two crawfish boils, LSU baseball, my senior formal, and lots of fun time. Clif's crawfish boils keep getting better and better, and I'm actually craving crawfish right now thinking about it. Yum! My senior formal was a lot of fun, and we had a great time. Clif looked dapper in his suit and bow tie. Poor Belle wanted to go too, but they don't let beagles into sorority formals.
We went to lunch with Mr. Jim and Bill this Saturday. They had come into town to attend the Spring Football game. We ended up going to Pastime's, a local favorite, and it was definitely very good. Mr. Jim and I both got calzones, and boy, were we in for a surprise! They were the biggest calzones I had ever seen in my life. I couldn't even eat half of the thing, and I was starving! We didn't end up going to the game, but had a crawfish boil instead, and it was awesome.
The next two weeks are going to be a lot of fun, if you don't include the stress of law school in the equation. My birthday is Saturday, which is always fun. Sunday is Easter, and we'll go to Easter Mass, then to my uncle's or grandmother's for Easter lunch/mine and Jason's 22nd birthday celebration. My parents won't be there. Yes, I included that. They will not be traveling to spend time with their favorite child on her birthday because they are going to celebrate the day of my birth on a free couple's weekend in San Antonio. If they weren't such a cutesy, still in love couple 25 years later, I wouldn't forgive this. However, since they will be "celebrating" me, I'll let it pass. We'll see them the weekend after Spring Break because we'll be making the 6 hour trek to Tuscalossa (the drive MAY be worse than the drive to Houston) for my brother's first spring football game! It's going to be on TV, and he's number 78, so everyone should watch! So we will be celebrating my birthday then, when the whole family will be together. I wonder what I am receiving for my birthday...
As for Spring Break, I think we're going to have a low key break. We're probably going to go to New Orleans for a couple nights. I've talked Clif into going to the zoo and just hanging out, so I am really, really excited! I then plan on completely cleaning out every drawer and my entire closet in my room. I have too many clothes for my closet, and the poor closet doesn't appreciate being stuffed full. So, I plan on boxing up all of my winter clothes (jackets, heavy sweaters and stuff) to make room for all my summer stuff. I also plan on giving away clothes. One entire side of my closet is dresses. Some of them are old, out of style, I only wore it once, and many other things. I'm getting rid of them, so if you want to come shopping in my closet, let me know! I bought my graduation dress this past weekend-- now, before you sit there and think "Why does she need a new dress, when she has an entire closet full of dresses??", I wasn't planning on purchasing a dress. I was just going to wear the one I wore for high school graduation. However, I had been eying this BEAUTIFUL Lily Pulitzer dress for months. Looking at it is all that I had been able to do because the dress was priced at... $300. Yeah, I know. There was no way I was going to talk myself into spending that much money on a dress. Well, I stopped by the mall on Saturday to pick up something, and I just had to look at "my" dress. Love is an understatement. How lucky am I to find out that this $300 dress is on sale for $83!!!! There was ONE left, and it was my size! Well, you know I bought it. I paid $90 total for the most gorgeous graduation dress ever. The sales woman told me that the dress is so popular that you can't get it anywhere, not even online. Now, she might have told me that to make me feel good, but I'm going to believe her because even if it was a trick, it worked. So now, I have a beautiful graduation dress that I will wear over and over again to spring and summer functions. I might even break it out for Easter this weekend. We shall see!
As for the rest of our Spring Break, we will be spending the weekend in Shreveport. Clif has an interview/meeting for an internship this summer. He doesn't talk much about work or internships, but from what he has told me, I can tell that he's really excited about this opportunity. It's in downtown Shreveport (in some bank building, I think), and he's going to have to dress up for work! Haha that is actually coming from his excitement. Clif is always dressed nice, so dressing up for work is something fun for him to do. Me, on the other hand, dressing up for work is work in and of itself. Shower, blow dry and straighten hair (takes almost 2 hours), make up, choose outfit (multiple times because I'm sure I look fat in most of the outfits) and shoes. I will literally be waking up 3 hours before I have to go to work when I'm finally done with school because dressing up for work is probably a must for attorneys. Add kids into that equation... I have no idea how that is going to work. Mothers, especially working mothers, are super women. How my mother did it, I will never know. Anyways, back on topic, I'm very excited for Clif's internship. He's going to be doing some really cool stuff, that I honestly could never explain because I don't understand how any of that stuff works, but it sounds awesome and he's really excited, so that's the best part. I'm not sure what I will be doing during this interview. I'm sure Susan and I will find something fun to do! If there's not anything fun to do in Mansfield or Shreveport, HGTV is ALWAYS fun!
Well, I've written a novel to catch everyone up on life. I'll try to update more frequently, and I'm going to attempt to upload some pictures! :)
Gatsby-- my roommate's cat that caught his tail on fire (see previous post)
Crawfish boil numbers one and two
Senior formal! First picture is of all the seniors, the next one is of Clif and Cody (best friends), the third is of my Zeta Family, and the last is a funny picture of me and Clif.
I just had to end the post with a picture of my angel! Isn't my Belle just the most precious thing ever? :) I hope everyone has a wonderful Spring Break and Easter!

Wow, you are one busy girl! Congrats on your acceptance into Mississippi's law school, very exciting. I will be stopping back to keep updated on your upcoming graduation and to find out where you end up next fall. Thanks for offering to help Meg out on her next venture to LSU. I'm sure she will have plenty of questions as the day she heads off to college inches closer. Take care...
